Last Day of 2010

From Weeks 49-52

So starts a new year, but this post will be record short. Am currently on sick leave (no, I'm actually feeling absolutely crap right now, literally... sick...) and it was way too hot today for anything with skin and/or fur and hair to exist.

Blogging is not up to date, and everything just seems so archaic now that it's soon to be "last year's news". So I'll end this year with my brother's cute puppy cake filled with cream and mixed fruits inside.

From Weeks 49-52
He chopped its butt off first.

@icie: now go get your Ls, you lazy bum, or I'm stealing Madara from you.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I shall spend my new year sleeping downstairs on the couch because my room is too hot. Resolutions? What resolutions.... =_=

Post Kurisu Masu~

It's past 1am, so a really short post this time, just because there's the sudden inspiration to blog.

My bagua was a success!! =D so tt asked if it tasted as nice as the ones that they sell outside (for $4 per piece!! Rip off!) and I thought a while and said that even if it's not 100%, taste-wise, I can be sure it is at least healthier! My dad bought lean mince pork, and I know what I put in there myself, plus extremely hygienic cooking!

Today was boxing day and we went to organise a party for Sunday School before heading off to Bicentenial Park for barbecue. I know a lot of people headed down to City for the sales, but meh *dislike crowds*.

From Weeks 49-52
Look, but don't drool~ btw, these aren't my photos, I was too busy cooking and my hands were dirty most of the time to touch my camera, these photos were taken by HH, church friend. Love prawns during a bbq~ we didn't have any before, but a couple of friends went to Eastwood and we jokingly told them to get some prawns. All the shops were open, so they got some... =D Nice work~!

From Weeks 49-52
One more: sausages, with two slits on each to make it look professional, haha. GH did that~ which is really smart. I have never seen anyone do it before.

That's all for post Christmas! We played cards under shelter because it was too humid and hot to walk around, haha. And there were mosquitoes everywhere too, annoying things. We should have brought the electric fly swapper and zapped them.

Back to work for me tomorrow T T

Meriii Kurisu masu!!

Yay! It's Christmas, and a really bright and sunny one at that =D What a great atmosphere!

From Weeks 49-52
Merry Christmas! I realise I didn't have anything red to take a photo of (cos I don't like red) so I took a photo of something pink instead. And cute. Introducing Strawberry Shortcake-san... sitting on the green couch that is supposed to be outdoors. It's ok, we're going to change our old couches very soon =D

Ice ice baby~

So Sunday was my brother's birthday (HELLO icie! 誕生日 おめでとう!) and also GH's birthday (Happiii bafudeiii!! ^^) and because icie was too busy to go out with me, we celebrated GH's birthday with some other friends. 'Twas a productive day of yum cha, soft toy picking from UFO machines, sticker photos (gosh, I haven't taken one of those in eons), dessert stop, 3 hrs worth of Karaoke, sushi dinner, and galaxy world visit which included DDR and Day Tona.

Concluded with a joyous walk back to the car in heavy rain.

From Weeks 49-52
I've long given up on keeping my entries in order of my photos in picasa, so it's going according to theme now, and it's ICE time. As in, frozen water ice. What were you thinking... =_=

Made at home!

With uni and placement over, there's no reason why I should not be updating right?

Am feeling slightly scattered at the moment because I mis-set my alarm clock this morning to 6:30am instead of 5:30am.... at 6:25am, dad came in and asked if I needed to go to work. Which was affirmative. Then he said, "... it's 6:30 now." Rushed out of the house in 3 minutes after a quick wash of face, brush of teeth and jumping in uniform. Managed to get to work just 5 minutes late. It's never happened before!!!! I blame all that wicked wings and coleslaw from KFC last night.

Shall make this entry a DIY entry! =D Hardly get those anymore because I haven't been cooking recently, but here goes~ first up, dumplings!

Nature stuff! =D

It's close to the end of the year. Results have been released for the past semester, placements have finished and holiday truly starts. Except for work, which is inescapable until... well, Christmas day.

So since all assignments have been completed, I have been going to a few places to eat, but mainly revisiting old favourites, eating old favourites and aimless wandering around old favourites. Blogging has gone kinda stale for me recently, and I cannot think of any ways to make it more interesting for myself and anyone who might stumble here (for actual content itself, not to spam!).. hm... anyway, today's so muggy that I can't wait to shower, so this entry shall be short and mainly pictures. Back to spring, when it wasn't so hot and uncomfortable.

Budget Meals!

So looking at the blogs that I usually visit and at some of the Buzz! that friends have been putting up, I realise there has been a trend going on. Most of the meals tend to side with the upper end that cost over.. hm... $50 per person. I guess $50 can't be considered much, since a lot of restaurants can cost from $100 up. Per Person. For a meal.

Not that it's a bad thing, since most of my friends are already working and have a stable career (boohoo, I'm still not even sure what I'm going to do after completing Masters. This course guarantees that I'll be poor my entire life, haha), but I'm a poor student who works part time at a dodgy supermarket. I'm stuck saving up for overseas trips, first to HK to renew my ID card (it expired many many many years ago) and to Singapore for my sister's wedding dinner.

Which means I haven't been able to have good meals for a long time. Wait wait, I take that back. I've had PLENTY of good meals, just not expensive ones.... in other words, BUDGET meals!

Post Completion of First Year!

Sooo... (it's actually an impulse to start my entries with "so". I've been stopping myself each time so the entries don't all start with "so", but I gave in during the last entry. Shall exaggerate it this week just for the fun of it~) my auntie and uncle- real ones, as in blood related ones, are over for the night and they were sitting behind me the whole time I was processing my photos. Then my auntie asked me why I'm not doing my homework, or practicing my piano.... orz.

I'm awaiting my results now, but I suspect I won't do as well as first semester. It's going to be a decline from now. There's a pattern actually. Seconds years never do as well as first years. It's a fact, at least in my course. Judging from some of the first years that will be entering next year (namely some geniuses), we'll be... well... out of the picture. =(

Rather than thinking about next year's uni, I guess it'd be good to think about the three months of holidays starting... well, now!

The End

So it's the end of a semester, a year at uni, and half my degree over. Nearly the end of the year, and almost the end of 2010. With mum nagging my brother to tidy up his space and him being rebellious, Christmas tree will be up soon too. Christmas... oh gosh, it's that time of the year already! Where on earth did my 2010 go??

Blog has been neglected for about two weeks, my apologies. Lots contributed to its lack of updates actually- with uni work overload, practicing for skills test, then my keyboard all glam'd up with keyboard stickers decided to die on me... so now I'm using this boring all-black keyboard =( It just feels different without those stickers! This keyboard even sounds different =(

Jk. With all that whinging aside, it's time for some serious catching up. Here's a speed entry!

Outdated Post

Lack of updates due to the massive amounts of uni work. It's that time of the year when everything is due, there are exams to study for... and skills test to practice for. I've been avoiding that skills test preparation for days now, and it's this Thursday. Still avoiding by blogging, haha.

It's unfortunate, but I haven't been OUT recently. By "out", I mean to eat and enjoy new food, etc. Of course, there's always the whole backlog of entries to write about, especially Sugar Hit, which has become history already, and probably forgotten by the time I post it up. Believe it or not, I've been spending more time coped up in my room, sitting on the floor (getting a sore back from it too...) writing assignments, reading, preparing presentations, etc, than anything else. Including work *shock horror, L hasn't been going to work!*

This blog has also been neglected and shall remain so till the end of next week. No, make it week after.

Birthday!

Happy Halloween! Though we never celebrated halloween. Never. I always thought it was a cult festival, and we never really did play with dress-ups when we were young (I think my sister and I were more into dressing up other things, like making Barbie look hideous by chopping off her hair and wondering why it didn't grow back. Or playing with transformer cars! =D They were COOL ok) so halloween wasn't really known to us. Plus, back in Singapore, no one went trick or treating. We were pleasantly surprised during the second year of being in Sydney when a bunch of kids came and yelled trick or treat at our door.... I think that was the only time kids came to our door. Who would want to walk through that dark lane to get to our house?

Typical breakfast at uni

This was actually taken a while back, but it's a typical breakfast. There's a toaster in the kitchen of our centre, so usually I'd buy waffles from work and bring it to uni to toast. My personal bottle of maple syrup and block of UNmelted butter in the fridge completes the waffles.

Those ones in the photo weren't the nicest waffles. They come frozen in a pack of twelve, but they're too thin. There are rounds of waffle in non-refrigerated packets that are a lot thicker, which makes crispy outsides and fluffy insides... :-P the best waffles so far.

Since I have no waffle maker.. And haven't had waffles in ages, these store bought ones are good. Plus, everyone comes into the kitchen commenting on the delicious smell wafting through.

Melbourne Day 4

Just got back from work and am tired, but at the same time, frustrated with vodafone. Every single time something gets fixed, another problem appears. First they weren't canceling my old account, then they weren't transferring my old number across (and now I find out that to carry my old number across, it costs $20...!), then my internet stopped working (no 3G, what!) and then my data plan was screwed up and I had 50mb instead of 1gb PLUS 200mb.

After fixing all that up, now billing. They're making me pay for that 1gb when it's meant to be entitled with the plan. AND for some reason my old account is still existing and getting billed for that too.

I feel like typing up a whole page of rant, but I guess I shall stick to food, and then go sleep. (Breathe in, breathe out... stupid vodafone...)

From Melbourne AMTA Conference/ Sightseeing
So it's Melbourne Day 4.

Melbourne Day 3

No more naughty tags or titles! I think my poor sister must have had a slight jolt of shock when she saw it, cos what she sees on her blog's blog list is this:

- Eternal Darkness -
My New Toy xxx

^^'' Hm... today was a typical Grouchy Hamster Day. Reasons? Everything and nothing. It's just one of those days when you feel like you can't see the sunny side of life, and everyone thought I was just not feeling confident enough about myself, when really, it's all because 1) it was too warm today and the room I was in at placement was hot and stuffy, 2) I couldn't use the centre's laptop to transfer files, 3) I can feel my assignment creeping up on me (oh crap, maybe I shouldn't be blogging), 4) I had breakfast! today, and I don't normally have breakfast! on wednesdays... 5) Couldn't find the damn stand for the wind chimes, which I needed for that placement session, 6) it was storming outside after the irritatingly warm and sunny morning, 7) lack of sleep, 8) that today's 13-10-10. Everything about today was just wrong.

/rant

If anyone bothered to read all that, go do some proper work and quit procrastinating on my blog like I am doing at the moment =)

Wondering why I keep getting all the spam on my tagboard recently, I checked analytics to see how randoms get to my site.

Some aren't randoms- you know who you are =P (ahem vegetarian yum cha... =P is good, so take your friends there!)

Melbourne Day 1

Been a little slack with the updates lately, somehow the inspiration to update has been evading me and I spent 5 hours trying to work on an assignment, but it's gotten to the point when the assignment just doesn't want to work for me, so it's time to leave it alone and I'll get back to it after this blog. And after some dinner. And a shower. And maybe a few hours of sleep too. Looks like assignment will be neglected just for a while.

Its own fault.

Today at work, I asked one of my colleagues who is taking a year off studying (finished year 12 last year and decided not to head straight to uni) whether she plans to do anything. Lamenting that she's only got 3 days of work next week instead of the usual 5-6 that she usually gets, she said she's planning to go to Melbourne in November. This little tinge of envy crept into me because... Melbourne is so awesome!

Wordpress convert- Unsuccessful

Never liked having to do any changes to my website. Once upon a time when I had plenty of free time and could afford not to study and do assignments or go to work (ahh... high school days), I would self-learn everything I was interested in, from making pretty avatars and signatures to blog templates. Lousy ones of course, because 1) I'm not neat and my code would always have some sort of error which I didn't bother fixing, and 2) because back then, what I was interested in was making things all flowery and cute, like putting background midi and floating stars.

$2.99 frozen burger? Pass!

From Melbourne AMTA Conference/ Sightseeing

So I'm back from Melbourne and it's been so long since I actually sat down at my pc and wrote a proper entry. I find myself wondering what on earth happened the past two weeks that led to such a severe deprivation of sleep that my head was pounding the whole of Tuesday.

It really didn't help that I had a presentation to do that Tuesday and no surprise, many things went wrong while I was preparing for it.
From Weeks 40-43, 2010

Fast Burger, ready in 2.5 mins!

So I typed out an entry this morning and deleted it myself. It wasn't posting the photo for me, but now it's fixed.

On the way home from placement. Another week gone, and i'm officially half way through my 640 hours placement! Yayyyy. Haven't blogged for ages despite coming back from Melbourne for a week already, but when one gets thrown straight back to work right after a 'holiday', it's like catching up with 5 days' worth of workload.

Anyway, dinner from two nights ago at work. Frozen burger that comes with a special heating tray that promises a crispy base. True to its words, the bottom bun was anything but soggy and it actually tasted pretty good for a microwaved burger.

Full review of burger and a proper update sometime soon hopefully!

Realised that I'm actually staying in the heart of Melbourne, just a minute's walk away from China Town.

After leaving luggages at the hotel, it's time for a late breakfast. Since my friends are from Hong Kong and we're at China Town, it's yum cha!

I feel like transferring to Melbourne Uni now, haha. The transport system is so much better! But yes... must watch out for trams... they don't follow traffic lights.

Kuwa-san

It's Monday morning and I nearly forgot that I have placement today... Breakfast! at a regular cafe in Strathfield. I usually have plain croissants, but this ham and cheese one is not bad at all.

This should be... the second Breakfast! entry from this new phone I think, and so far so good, am liking this phone more and more. With mahjong and chess and some random rpg Japanese game installed, I no longer dread long waits for public transport! Technology does make people more patient in some aspects afterall.

Only thing that really annoyed me is vodafone. I must have tried to cancel my old account a million times and carry my old number over to my new plan a zillion times, through the phone and even in person. Didn't help that I only managed to get through being put on hold twice and being told, twice, that it'd be fixed within 3 hours. Lies. It's so strange that vodafone only allows cancellation of accounts and plans through a phonecall to customer care rather than in person. Automated voices and pop music that they feed your ears while on hold have become my nemesis.

Chef's Gallery- Mains 1

Crazy crazy weeks, and I foresee it getting worse. Assignments have not hit me fully in the face yet, but it surely will after my Melbourne trip. First trip to Melbourne, and I haven't even had the time to properly sit down to plan and get all excited about it. It's going to be: Mon- work, Tues- uni full day, Wed- placement full day, Thurs- placement full day, Fri morning bright and early, flying off. And when I get back, assignments are due. It's like a lose-lose situation, might have to resort to doing assignments in Melbourne... noooo.

One thing I'm definitely looking forward to is Tim Burton's exhibition. Must. See. It.

Xperia X10 mini pro!

This is my first entry from the new phone. Loving the qwerty keyboard! It's funny how my brother decided to get the exact same phone when he had a play with it the day it arrived in the post. He came into room and said he got the exact same phone and then asked if I wanted my lights off.

Funny icie..

This is my first 'smart' phone, so I don't really know how to use it well. Was at first disappointed that I couldn't even blog because there's so few options in the camera software in the phone, it couldn't even put the word 'Breakfast!' on the picture.

That's what aps are for. Phone noob... Time to eat some duck pate.

Breakfast!

This may well be my last Breakfast! entry using this phone. Been using my own tumbler at cafes like Starbucks and Gloria Jeans, so I've saved a few paper cups. Except last time at Starbucks, they messed my order up and gave me black English Breakfast tea with a shot of coffee rather than EB tea latte. It tasted rather foul, so I had to ask for a cup of milk to make my own latte. They gave the milk to me in a paper cup..

Had plenty of sleep last night, but I hate how the bed seems most comfortable when you just have to wake up.

Last Day of Winter!

It's the last day of winter, so somehow I feel obliged to blog. It's the last day of the month! There's something exciting about a month coming to an end and a new one starting. Maybe it's just me. September is going to be a horrendous month of assignments due and heaps of other things to do, but! There's always the Melbourne conference to look forward to. That's happening in about two week. Chef's Gallery- Appetizers

There's so much I want to post about, but laziness always kicks in before I get around to writing the post. Was actually reading an article online about a Singaporean food blogger who apparently went into a restaurant and, after eating, had a bad attitude towards paying and expected the meal to be free because he was a food blogger.

The media stirred it up big and everyone got really angry, calling food bloggers modern day beggars with a DSLR, but truth was, he was invited to a tasting session and brought 3 friends along. Because he was invited, he assumed it was going to be free, but it was only free for him and +1, not all his friends. He then tossed his credit card on the table grudgingly, and someone from the restaurant, displeased with his behavior, called some rival food bloggers and told them about it. They then wrote up scathing posts about him (chance to bring down a rival?) and it felt like they were kicking someone who was already down.

The world of food bloggers isn't so pleasant afterall. It's becoming more and more commercialized, which is really sad. Shall look at food and be comforted that no matter how terrible and low this world becomes, there will still be good food around, and that matters a lot.

It was city2surf back two weeks ago! Can't believe time has flown by so quickly, it's already been 2 weeks since the long run, and it only felt like a week ago. Time flies when you're too busy to realise time is going by. I've done the whole "stare at the second hand tick one full circle around the clock face" while waiting to clock off after work (because when I work with efficient people, we tend to finish everything at least 5 minutes before our shift ends) and each second goes by so slowly.

Imagine, I took more than 100 "second hand goes round clock face" cycles to run 14km.

I have less than an hour before my bus comes for work, so this will be a quick quick entry!

Into my third week of "sickness", but it's getting better. Apparently, everyone at Giant Steps (school for kids with autism where I'm currently doing my placement) are having the same thing, both teachers and students- bad cough, nausea, some even throw up, unsteadiness in limbs like legs and hands... and I thought I was just extra clumsy theses days. At least my appetite is back!! Yay for food! Just got a tumbler from Starbucks the other day. It's really sad, I've been wanting to get one for ages, but never actually took the time to go buy one, until I spilled coffee on a white shirt while trying to hold too many things along with a takeaway coffee cup on the train.

Someone actually said my blog posts are too long, which... I guess I can agree with. My "short and fast" entries always end up longer than planned. Today's will be short, promise- because whatever I've been sick with, it's not going away. Dimetapp, the cold and flu elixir, does not work. Someone from work has caught pneumonia and I conclude that I've caught the same thing from a look at the symptoms, but haven't had time to see a doctor, so it'll have to heal naturally. Unfortunately, being sick, my taste buds have gone crazy and refuse to taste properly, which is very woeful because eating no longer brings the usual joy =(

It's ok though- looking at it reminds me of the past pleasure food brought =) Now I understand how Kuroyanagi felt when he couldn't taste food (shame on you if you haven't watched Yakitate! Japan before.)

Still sick =( Though it was wonderful receiving my payslip today and finding it more than expected- thanks, Paid Personal Sick Leave! Yes, it's my first time calling in sick to work (last week) and first time getting paid for being sick, so that's at least something to lift up this damp, sick and tired soul.

Had a really big dinner last night, the biggest I've had in ages, since sick= sacrificing meals for more sleep. Actually, I should be sacrificing some blogging time for sleep too, have work 6:30am tomorrow, but it can't be helped- am too much of a dedicated blogger (stop scoffing, you.)

From Week 28-30, 2010

Monday, August 09, 2010

It's time for Dimetapp again. Funny, managed to skip all the other symptoms of sore throat and running nose, and got straight to the cough and headache part.

So after skipping dinner twice in a row, running 14km yesterday, collapsing into sleep for about 15 hours after and waking up to go to work half an hour ago, had to get medication afterall. Fever's probably going to kick in while I'm at work, as it always happens..

If anyone annoys me at work today- beware. Am in the Grouchy Hamster mood. I heard bad things happened at work yesterday while J, J and I were at city2surf.. If she does the same to me today, she's going to get it. Somebody's gonna get hurt real bad..

Have some koala cookies~ I know I've been lazy with blogging, but heck, it's been one hell of a week. Imagine waking up at 5:30am for three days in a row- from Tuesday to Thursday, and having a 12-hour long placement (which is in reality 15 hours if you include travel time).

But hey, it hasn't even been a week since my last entry. At least it's not half a year =P

Sunday, August 01, 2010

Wow, this blog post is almost an entire month late! It's already August, and I'm still trying to catch up to the present, which actually won't be too hard, considering how I'll have no life for the following few months or so. It's good to have such a large backlog of stuff to update on, or else this blog will be very much dead.

Oh, August already... the last month of winter. It's sad that winter's gone- it's always been my favourite time of the year where you can huddle in front of the heater and be all comfortable in bed, snuggled into a ball in the middle with layers of blankets over you. (Digressing, I must have slept about 12 hours last night. Marmie came into my room to check on me, thinking I was sick or that I fainted, because I slept through dinner, woke up for an hour to watch Iron Chef, and went back to sleep till this morning). Summer's the worst and it's fast approaching =( but I suppose with summer comes my sister's much looked-forward-to wedding.

From Week 28-30, 2010

Wednesday, July 28, 2010

It's finally half way through the week. As usual, breakfast on the run at Strathfield before placement. I would go to Hello Happy, but it's not open this early in the morning =( so rather than going to Gloria Jeans and risk getting annoyed by school kids, went into this cafe called Maldini's for the daily coffee fix, and a bacon egg roll.

It came on a small wooden chopping board, which is really lovely compared to boring white plates, and the egg scrambled till fluffy perfection. Roll was warm, crisp on the top and soft inside, so it was a pretty good breakfast for such a wet and cold day. Down side is the coffee- they must have burnt it slightly, but definitely not the worst. I still prefer the coffee at townhall. It's perfect almost every time, and super fast service.

Hm. I thought the rain was supposed to come tomorrow.. But since it's raining today, maybe it won't rain tomorrow? I can't imagine how bad placement will be tomorrow if it rains. Think 30+ kids with autism stuck indoors, unable to go outside for playground activities or park activities.. ><

Now after coffee, I'm craving cold noodles. Ever since I started placement at Strathfield, I started to appreciate this place a lot more. There are heaps of really good cafes and restaurants here. In the past, I just remembered it as the place where my dad parked his car and came back to find some (uncivilised) person had stuck chewing gum on the window.

It's really not too bad now. For breakfast and lunch, that is.

.... Cold noodles... ...

I am officially screwed. Just checked the unit outlines for my subjects this coming semester, and oh my... think I just passed through the gates of Hell, if Hell existed on Earth. Feeling like a deflated balloon, who gave everything to achieve good results last semester, and am not recovered yet. This holiday really didn't seem like a holiday at all, and just coming back from a terrible day at work that started off terribly to begin with really didn't help. Used to think that life is all just an equation- you plan, you calculate, you take x amount of time to do one thing, and y amount of time to do another, and it should all fit into 24 hours each day. But of course, life never goes accordingly. There is no equation, and now I'm feeling like I'm trying to calculate the last digit of pi.

So while I wait for someone to dig a hole and bury me inside for the next couple of years, I shall look at food and maybe feel more human again.

The strange thing about this blog is.. I don't even know what kind of blog it is. It's not a food blog because I don't follow "food blog rules", like putting down prices, addresses, rating and what not. It's not quite a personalized "this is what I do everyday" mundane blog (or at least I hope not), it's not really a photoblog either. It's kind of... just a blog.

This blog was actually started in June 2003, when I was typing lyKe dIS and thought it was "cool" to do those random online quizzes and post their results on, lyKe dIS:

Which character of Haibane Renmei are you?
Nemu: You are mature and relaxed, balanced and agreeable; extremes are not part of who you are. You can sometimes help put people back on the right path, if they really listen to you; !@##%$$%^ yadayada-----

Yea, something like that. BS. Everyone goes through that phase, usually at around age 10-15. Some people stay stuck in that phase and continue doing pointless quizzes well past their twenties, but me? I'm definitely over it. Facebook is a major facilitator of time-wasters like quizzes for the current young generation. No wonder the human race is getting stupider and dimmer as the generations go on.

Anyway! None of all that nonsense now, it slowly became more of a photo blog, and then more features of food... I suppose eventually this blog will change out of this food phase when interest in food is lost (then it turns into a blog about um... work? please no.) For now, the food adventures continues!

It's snowman for breakfast! At Strathfield this morning, placement in an hour's time, so rather than my usual Mario Tokyo, it's Hello Happy. Cake and coffee with complementary toast and jam.

Must admit, I didn't even know what sort of cake the snowman was even after ordering it, but figured that something looking so cute cannot possibly taste bad. Looks matter so much in the food world.. It's sad. Still, in this case, the cute snowman ended up being an extremely delicious blueberry cheesecake. Sure feels like Christmas in July~

There are two little kids a few tables beside me saying "cheese!" for the snowman whenever the flash goes off in my camera. Cute..

On a side note, I was watching Master Chef last night because Iron Chef Sakai was going to be a guest there. It was supposed to be an invention test, and only 1 dish can be considered unique. I wonder what they would think if they saw Luxirare's food recreations. It's so obvious some are total amateurs, and this is the finals?? We need a program like Iron Chef, featuring professional chefs, or chefs with reputations on the line.. Makes things way more interesting. Poor Sakai, he probably only had 2 good dishes worth eating to sample out of the 7.

Am extremely sleepy at the moment, just came back from work, and time went fast enough, but due to lack of sleep from the night before, I think I'll be hopping straight into bed after typing this up. Last night was fun though, I met up with F+S along with tt to have dinner at Kings Cross, and managed to use my Gold Entertainment card for the first time =D That's always exciting, but since there's a massive backlog of stuff to blog about, especially during the time when my sister came over for her photo shoot, I shall continue with those first.

From Week 28-30, 2010

Friday, July 16, 2010

I'm a bit nervous about blogging right now. Am at Kings Cross Centre, wasting time while waiting to have dinner with F+S tonight. Tt said I shouldn't log in to anything here in case someone's installed a key logger in these computers. They could very well have done that, because there's absolutely no security on these computers. I just installed chrome for them without any trouble. Usually public computers don't let you install or download anything. Oh well! If this site suddenly changed and became some... I dunno, random site, it means someone took over my account.

I forgot to type an entry last night, so I guess I'll make it up now. It's going to be super short because I only have an hour to do this.

Oh, it's wednesday again.. I actually got cheesecake from Woolies again, but when I went to get coffee, people were handing out free muesli bars. Trying to promote breakfast eating habits into businessmen and women at 6 something in the morning at townhall? I guess it'd work.. Looks healthier than what I get for breakfast too *cough* cheesecake..

While today's breakfast isn't anything special, it did come free =P which is always nice once in a while. Train's coming in 5, time for coffee and then some psp! =D

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Due to some misinformation given to me by tt, I'm currently replaying the same part of Suikoden, for the third time. =( It's troublesome having to replay, you just lose the "gaming adrenaline" and you lose all incentive to grind. I tend to skip all the battles if it's a replay.

Anyway~ today will definitely be a short and sweet entry because it's placement day tomorrow, meaning waking up at 5:30am T T And apparently tomorrow is going to be very cold, so it'll be miserable, waking up to the cold and dark. Last week, I didn't even have my heater or lights because of the massive blackout, hopefully tomorrow won't be the same.

Blogger is still being annoying and not fixing that spinning icon that seems to be permanently stuck on my "new entry", but at least I can still post... it just requires a couple more clicks to get to a new post. Being the usual lazy self, I can see it getting irritating, but since I don't blog very often, it's ok once in a while~

I'm still very behind in my blog entries, so it's been decided that I'll do small entries, not huge ones, but more of them, so eventually, I'll get back to the present.
